Junior
Volunteer Program
Halifax Regional Hospital’s Junior Volunteer program
is an opportunity for motivated and energetic young people
to experience work in a healthcare facility. The summer program
runs from approximately late June to midAugust.
Requirements
for Junior Volunteering
- High School student between
the ages of 14 and 18. Must be 14 by June 1 of the
year of application.
- 3.0 grade average.
- Obtain tuberculosis (PPD) screening
test provided by the hospital.
- Fully complete necessary
forms and return to the Volunteer Department by deadline
due.
- Incomplete
forms cannot be
accepted.
- Volunteer at least one four-hour shift
each week.
- Wear identification tag and uniform shirt with
white/khaki slacks/skirt.
- Attend mandatory
Teen Volunteer Orientation.
- Be dependable.
- Have a sincere desire to help others.
- Practice good customer
relations at all times.
