Aquatic Therapy

Our aquatic therapy program features a Hydroworx 1500 Aquatic Therapy Pool. The Hydroworx pool has been widely used by many university and professional sports teams. It is currently the only one of its kind located in Virginia. An integrated treadmill and powerful resistance jets maximize the patient’s recovery. Multiple depths allow you to vary the amount of weight that you bear. An underwater camera monitors your treatment. That image is then projected to a viewing screen at eye level of the patient and therapist. The therapist and patient can easily see incorrect or abnormal movements and make the necessary adjustments. The pool is fully handicap accessible and includes a lift for those patients who may need assistance getting into and out of the pool.

Patients who don’t respond to traditional therapy
Those with strains, sprains or tendonitis
Patients who are deconditioned or unable to perform traditional exercises
