About Halifax Regional Health System
Halifax Regional Health System (HRHS) is a multidivisional
organization providing acute and long-term care, dementia
care, home health, hospice, behavioral health services and
a multitude of outpatient services to approximately 80,000 residents in the region. Governed by a 36-member board
of directors, the system serves Halifax, Charlotte and Mecklenburg
counties and surrounding communities.
Halifax Regional Hospital, an affiliate of HRHS, is licensed
for 192 beds. It serves as a Regional Referral Center and
provides a wide range of health and medical services for
residents
of all ages. Over 100 physicians representing 28 specialties
serve on our medical staff.
Other affiliates include The Woodview, Seasons at The Woodview
and MeadowView Terrace, our long-term care facilities, and
Halifax Regional Foundation, our tuition assistance and scholarship
program. HRHS is also affiliated with four family medical
practices in our service area.
